The Challenge: Small Space, Big Intentions
This renovation required thoughtful problem-solving from the very first sketch. We were asked to integrate a barrier-free entrance and a steam shower in a space with limited square footage—two features that don’t traditionally coexist easily. The room configuration and existing architectural constraints demanded clever transitions, precise elevations, and a layout that worked harder without appearing complicated.
Another major challenge? Morning light.
The home’s existing window placement flooded the bedroom at dawn—beautiful, yes, but harsh on sleepy eyes. The client needed a solution that maintained natural brightness without the early wake-up call. Controlling light while preserving airiness became a central design focus.
